Current Fundraising Efforts.
virgin money london marathon.I, Ian Lowe, am currently training for the Virgin Money London Marathon on 26th April 2015. This will be my first marathon and somewhat further than the longest charity run I have done before; the Manchester 10k.
I have decided to run on behalf of Help the Hospices, due the to fantastic work I witnessed at St. Ann's Hospice in Manchester. Scott stayed at the hospice on three separate occasions and was treated like royalty each time. I couldn't do it for a better cause and all donations will be greatly recieved. Obviously, this run is in memory of Scott and the pain that I have already experienced in the form of blisters and an aching body are soon forgotten when I think about the battle that Scott went through. The hours I will spend training and running the race will be spent think solely of Scott. |
Previous Fundraising Efforts.
Charity Event. On Saturday 28th August 2011 there was a Charity Event held at Flixton Football club. The event had a football match, tombola, raffle, barbecue, bouncy castles, DJs, and childrens entertainers including a face painter, circus acts and the world champion football freestyler John Farnworth.
The event was a huge success and raised valuable funds/awareness for VHLCG. |
Manchester Midnight Walk.A group of Scott's family and friends participated in the Manchester Midnight Walk on behalf of Scott for St. Ann's Hospice as he has had three visits to the hospice in 2012 and each time the treatment he received was amazing.

They raised money for The Willow Foundation, which gave Scott the unique opportunity to meet the celebrities from Celebrity Juice and be a member of the audience at one of the recordings.
